As part of NSW Small Business Month 2026, the Agriculture, Food and Animal Management Industry Training Advisory Body (AFAM ITAB) will host a practical online webinar connecting NSW small and medium businesses with skills, training, workforce and business support.

The session is designed to help businesses better understand the programs and pathways already available to them, where to find support and how different initiatives can help employers develop their people, strengthen workforce capability and plan for the future.

It will bring together information spanning government-funded training, apprenticeships and traineeships, workforce pathways, workplace safety, business resilience and industry skills development — with opportunities for businesses to ask questions and identify the support most relevant to them.

Making support easier to navigate

There is a broad range of training, workforce and business support available across NSW, but understanding what is relevant to your business -and where to start - is not always straightforward.

For small and medium businesses in particular, finding the time to navigate different programs, eligibility requirements and pathways can be a challenge.

The AFAM ITAB webinar is about making those connections easier.

Rather than looking at workforce development, training, safety and business capability separately, the session will bring these areas together and provide businesses with a clearer picture of the support available across different stages of their workforce journey.
