Project Description:
Animal Health Australia (AHA) manages the National Sheep Health Monitoring Project (NSHMP). It requires MINTRAC to help AHA deliver the project with an emphasis on abattoir coordination, training of meat inspection staff and facilitation of animal health data collection.

AHA also requires MINTRAC to help implement the voice recognition technology rollout in participating NSHMP plants that express an interest in this technology.

Project Deliverables:

1. Support data collection activities from participating processing plants. - Ongoing
2. Monitor and oversee data collection and submission reporting. - Ongoing
3. Offer training and guidance to personnel involved in data collection and inspection procedures for Johne's disease and other specified conditions. - As required
4. Conduct annual refresher training for inspectors in participating plants, as well as data verification procedures. - Due for completion 30 June 2025
5. Develop additional e-learning modules that complement the existing NSHMP e-learning package. - Due for completion 30 June 2025
6. Help facilitate the rollout of voice recognition for inspection data collection - Ongoing
7. Help facilitate animal health data collection for the NSHMP in new abattoirs - Ongoing
8. Provide quarterly reports against the deliverables to AH. Due 30 September, 30 December 2024 and 30 March, 30 June 2025
