Project Description:
Animal Health Australia (AHA) manages the National Sheep Health Monitoring Project (NSHMP). It requires MINTRAC to help AHA deliver the project with an emphasis on abattoir co-ordination, training of meat inspection staff and facilitation of animal health data collection.

AHA also requires MINTRAC to help implement the voice recognition technology rollout in participating NSHMP plants that express an interest in this technology.

Project Deliverables:

1. Maintain communications with abattoirs participating in the NSHMP to ensure correct collection and submission of data to AHA. - Ongoing
2. Monitor data submission from abattoirs to AHA and investigate delays or complications. - Ongoing
3. Visit each participating abattoir annually to conduct training for inspectors using the NSHMP E-Learning courses and facilitate meat inspection verification. - Ongoing
4. Conduct preparations for the rollout of voice recognition for inspection data collection at abattoirs - Ongoing
5. Facilitate the rollout of VR for inspection data collection abattoirs. - Ongoing
6. Maintain and review the five E-Learning modules for NSHMP. - Ongoing
7. Governance - arrange and facilitate internal and external meetings. - Ongoing
8. Reporting - prepare MIV report upon completion of each abattoir visit and provide quarterly project reports against the deliverables. Due 30 September 2025, 30 December 2025 and 30 March 2026, 30 June 2026. - Ongoing
