AMP Stage 3 Review - Retail Butchery & Meat Processing Sector

Project Description:

PHASE 1: Conducting a Workforce Functional Analysis (WFA) for the Retail Butchery/Smallgoods sector, including:

o industry consultation,

o skills, knowledge and licensing/regulatory mapping

o recommendations for Training Package updates that incorporate qualification reform approaches (where appropriate).

These services will be provided by the Service Provider, with the assistance of an agreed developer to be contracted by Skills Insight.


PHASE 2: Retail Butchery/Smallgoods - reviewing, updating, creating or deleting training package products to address specific issues identified in the Activity  

Submission and in accordance with the 2025 Training Package Organising Framework (TPOF), covering (but not limited to):

o 4 qualifications

o 66 units of competency

o 1 skill set

o Companion Volume Implementation Guide(s).

These services will be provided by the Service Provider, with the assistance of an agreed developer to be contracted by Skills Insight.


PHASE 2: Meat Processing -reviewing, updating, creating or deleting training package products to address specific issues identified in the Activity  

• The Skills Insight Project Manager will provide project management for the developer contracted by Skills Insight.

• The Project Manager will coordinate with the Service Provider to ensure effective delivery of agreed outcomes, including the reviewing, updating, creating or deleting of training package products in line with the Activity Submission and the 2025 Training Package Organising Framework (TPOF 2025).

• A full list of products for review will be provided via SharePoint at project commencement and includes (but is not limited to):

o 11 qualifications

o 75 units of competency

o 4 skill sets (if applicable)

o Companion Volume Implementation Guide(s).


Due to the size and complexity of this project, the project will be carried out in two phases.
