Discover Industry Connect Brisbane 2026

MINTRAC’s Industry Connect Brisbane 2026 brings together the people shaping the future of workforce capability across Australia’s meat processing and training sectors, from industry leaders and regulators to RTOs and HR professionals.

Across two days, the event creates a space where technical expertise, workforce strategy and industry realities intersect. It’s not just about attending sessions - it’s about being part of the conversations driving change across the sector.

📅 5–6 May 2026
📍 Christie Spaces Conference Centre, Brisbane

A space where industry, training and government align

Industry Connect is designed to reflect how the sector actually operates - interconnected, regulated and constantly evolving.

By bringing together industry, government and training providers in one room, the event focuses on the practical challenges organisations are navigating today: workforce shortages, compliance pressures, operational performance and the need to continuously adapt to new technologies and expectations.

This is where policy meets practice  and where conversations move beyond theory into real, operational insight.

More than a conference - a working conversation

The program is structured across three core streams:

1. MIQA Network (Technical + Industry)

Focused on food safety, compliance and operational integrity — grounded in real processing environments.

2. HR Leaders Forum (Workforce + Leadership)

Exploring the shift from operational HR to strategic leadership, with a strong focus on capability, culture and organisational performance.

3. RTO Forum (Training + Systems)

Bringing together training providers and regulators to address how training delivery aligns with workforce demand and evolving industry needs.

Each stream is designed to connect directly to the others, reinforcing that workforce capability, compliance and training systems don’t operate in isolation.

What you’ll gain

Industry Connect is built around practical value.

Attendees can expect:

  • Real industry insight grounded in current operational challenges
  • Direct engagement with regulators, industry leaders and training providers
  • Clarity on emerging trends, from AI in training to changing compliance expectations
  • Actionable ideas to take back into their organisations

The focus is clear: strengthening workforce capability through industry-led, practical outcomes.

Beyond the sessions, Industry Connect creates space for connection  because relationships are where real progress begins.

The Networking Mixer (Meat & Greet) offers a relaxed environment to continue discussions, build connections and strengthen industry relationships.

If you work across processing, training, HR or compliance - this is where the sector comes together to align, challenge ideas and move forward.
