What are the responsibilities of an RFP Validator?
An RFP validator is responsible for:
- be conversant with the Export Control Act 1982 and its subordinate legislation
- have access to and be able to effectively use MICoR and ELMER 3
- be fully trained in the procedures for validating RFPs
- have available all the relevant information for validating an RFP
- understand and be able to demonstrate how the information in each field in the RFP is obtained
- be able demonstrate the procedure for applying the correct market eligibility statement to the RFP
- keep auditable records of the verification activities for validating the RFP
- be aware of the procedures to follow when the information provided in the RFP is not accurate or complete
- be aware of the procedures for validating RFPs when the product is destined for the EU.
