Meat Transfer Certificates
A Meat Transfer Certificate (MTC) is a document that accompanies meat and meat products being transferred between export registered establishments.
The process of completing an MTC includes:
- filling in consignment information
- verifying it is correct and complete
- completing market eligibility statements
- ensuring it meets importing country requirements
- signing the declaration.
The company records used to complete the MTC include but not limited to:
- load-out reports
- product scan reports
- product source documents (incoming MTCs)
- results of any required product tests for specific markets.
