The training program has been designed to provide best practice guidance for biosecurity management and planning across the following cohorts:

• Egg producers/farmers
• Mid-tier poultry farmers
• Meat chicken slaughterers
• Broiler operations
• Small holders
• Caravan/hobby farmers

The one-day training exercise will cover the following:

• Module 1 Introduction to Biosecurity
• Module 2 Pathways for Entry and Managing Risk
• Module 3 Key Phases of Biosecurity Management
• Module 4 Biosecurity Management Planning
• Module 5 Case Studies

Participants will walk away with a documented Biosecurity Management Plan, which they will develop during the training. Stakeholders who currently have a biosecurity management plan in place will be encouraged to bring their plan with them to the training, and conduct an assessment on the plan’s currency, thoroughness, and consider opportunities to update or improve the plan.
