The next Diploma of Meat Processing program will commence in August 2018.  MINTRAC is now accepting applications, and the application form, program dates and general information are available on the MINTRAC website.

From 1 April 2019 important changes to trainer and assessor credentials will come into effect.

MINTRAC would like to welcome two new members to the Meat Industry Reference Committee.

From 1 July 2018, food to be sold in Australia must be labelled according to the requirements of the Country of Origin Food Labelling Standard 2016. These laws apply to food that is supplied for retail sale in Australia.

MINTRAC would like to congratulate the medal winners in the Retail Butchery section at the WorldSkills National Championships, held in Sydney in June.

MINTRAC now has RPF Training available online. The training consists of learning materials divided into a number of sections, each section has a short quiz at the end. There is also a summary quiz at the end of the training.

MINTRAC is looking for people interested in attending ammonia refrigeration training in 2018/2019.

We are currently in the process of undertaking the six-monthly update of Training and Assessment materials.  This is where we address any comments or recommendations from users and issue an updated release of materials for individual units.

The Unit-by-Unit listing is a resources list containing resources that are available for each Unit of Competency in the AMP Australian Meat Industry Training Package. 

During the last round of Network meetings, we tabled a list of Units of Competency asking for feedback on whether these identified units are still needed in the Training Package.
